Is the bottom radiator hose suppose to be as hot as the top hose? I had a Freeze plug blow outta my block about 2 weeks ago and now Im thinking that this coolant issue can be the cause.

I got the engine back in and running but noticed that the cooling system is acting strange.

-The temprature gauge is normal
-heater is working
-upper radiator hose hot and pressurized
-bottom radiator hose not hot, a little pressurized
-changed t-stat
-radiator has a pin hole
-radiator cap was filled with rust-cleaned it off


After driving the car 20 miles, I looked under the hood and heard/felt my top radiator hose was boiling, I can literally feel it.

Can a bad Water Pump or radiatior cap cause this? Is there a bleeder valve for the coolant on the 1JZ?

those it sound like your bubbling if so you may have air in the system that still need to vented out and it being trap in the bottom ,air can hold more heat than water
i suggest this work for me. lift the front end with radiator cap open and car turn on shake the front end to move the bubble out then when you think you see no more bubble shut car and replace and fluid that came out just be carefull you dont burn your self goodluck
