Bugjug- I can't imagine a motor running if all 6 cylinders have no compression...it would be very noticeable and not a surprise when changing spark plugs.

I have run into the same problem with my SC, and was really nervous today until I talked with a buddy of mine who happens to be a technician and an owner of an FD3 and MKIV Turbo... He told me it was fairly common on higher mileage vehicles to see that.

yes. hen oil leaks down onto the plug wires, it can decay the spark plug wires and cause a poor connection with the spark plug. if this is allows to happen for an extended period of time, and the driver/owner is careless or just a jew(no offense, but we've had customers like this several times), unburnt fuel in the cylinders will cause the piston rings to wash down. if the rings become washed, you will have a poor compression, a misfire, and a very good reason why your oil level keeps getting higher and higher. also, this can cause lots of other oil leaks as the fuel in the oil eats through plenty of gaskets and seals in the crankcase system. this can also cause a very very very dirty and clogged up, choked out intake manifold and throttle body...

I couldn't believe it! So once I replaced everything and fired the car back up, the rattle under load was completely gone. I also had a noticeable increase in the power of the car due what may have been the car's first spark plug change.

glad to hear everything is working out nicely now. i just got my sc about a month and a half ago, and i've been dealing with alot of the same sorts of issues. i love it though...

I picked up a Fel-pro gasket as well, but my local Autozone had some in stock.

Nvm found it.
For those who order Beck/Arnley, they do not have the grommets that come with the fel-pro gasket set.

Also could oil come up from the Allen bolt?

Is this for the VVT-i or not? Or is there even a difference in this situation? Because mine are getting covered in oil, but it's the first two.
