Default Huh... My catch can system actually works

Admittedly when I installed it back in '08, I wasn't really sure if a catch can system was of any benefit. Well, three years later I guess it was worth it.

Here's the basic layout (nothing special that you haven't seen before). I pull vacuum pre-turbo and run both valve cover lines to the catch can. I kept the OEM baffles in the valve covers and added one in the can, as well:

Considering the motor is built, I'm very happy that it's only half full three years after putting it in.

Additionally, I don't get any oil making its way past the turbo, buy I think the trend today is to draw vacuum post-turbo (or not at all) to ensure oil doesn't infiltrate the charge system to the intake plenum.

Anyway, just thought I'd share... I haven't seen anyone post results of their catch can, and I really didn't think it was doing anything. Guess I was wrong! :-P

Haha water can scare ya

Yup, when my car was off the road I would start it and let it just idle for a while and shut it off. Took the oil cap off and there milky residue on the cap.. I was thinkin bad HG.. no way. Did some searching especially in spring time from the dew If your car doesn't get hot enough it wont burn it off. Put her back on the road let it warm fully up.. oil perfect
