Need help with walbro 255 getting stuck.
I have 1jz sc300, with a walbro 255, I have the 12v mod, the problem is the walbro is getting stuck or stop working and is brand NEW, so I have to hit or tap on the tank to get it working again, also I made this videos so you guys can see the problem.
This is my usually routine. also notice the pump is load and gets quiet. I have fuel gauge to monitor the psi.
Is this normal?, this could be my cause? after I shutdown the engine the pump goes on for few seconds and shutdowns, This is bad for the walbro, because on the gauge it says like 30 psi is on the fuel line. any inputs I will appreciate, also what other brands fuel pump for this car except for the supra pump that is to expensive.

i can't watch the video.
how did you do the fuel pump mod?
as for the pump running for a few seconds after the engine is off, it's supposed to do that. the ecu keeps the EFI circuit running for a few seconds (fuel pump ecu is on the efi circuit) after the engine is off.
are you tapping on the fuel TANK to get the pump to turn on? that sounds to me like to have a wiring problem, and not a walbro fuel pump problem...
i personally would have gone with the supra pump, but walbros are fine. don't listen to the dude above^

Very odd that you have to tap the tank cover to get the pump to start working.
I dont see what would happen by tapping the fuel cover unless one of the connections that attach at the fuel tank cover is bad.
You could always pull that tank cover and check the resistance of those connections?
