Poor man's exhaust mod

Poor man's exhaust mod
What this basically is, is a little mod for those who still have a factory exhaust. From what i experienced, it helped throttle response, and made for a louder exhaust note.
So what you need:
Socket and Ratchet set (not sure what size...sorry)
Some metal washers
Lets start with jacking up the car. We all know how to do this...i hope.
I placed my jack in front of the driver's side rear tire. This provided me enough room to work on both mufflers.
Now, get under the car from the rear, and start un-bolting your mufflers from the rest of the exhaust system, as if you were installing an axle-back system.
So when it's all unbolted, slip on a washer/spacer or two on the threads, and put it back together.
Easy as pie. (unless you strip your nuts, which i did, and i had to cut out one of them. i ended up replacing them with some stainless ones from the hardware store)
~Optional~
Throw on a pair of wal-mart exhaust tips and BAM, new exhaust system.
Obviously, this is a very cheap/ghetto mod, but it works. I'm still in the process of fine-tuning the right amount of washers/spacers to put in that provides me with a throttle response that i want. So you just mess with it, put in 3 spacers, and listen to your car roar. And of course, if you don't like it, you can just take the washers out.
Enjoy!
