Default Need tech help with timing marks 3.0L

I work at a shop and I think something went wrong. We have a 93 Toyota Camary with a bad motor so my boss wanted to replace it with a 3.0L out of a 93 Lexus. A new timing belt was in order so that was in process and the owner rotated the left camshaft for some reason. The motor has been turned over with the starter after he did this.
I came into the picture late so here is what I did. I looked at the Toyota and Lexus timing instructions. Our harmonic balancer only has one mark. The crank gear has a dimple. I used the mark on the harmonic balancer and retarded from that 60 degrees so that was before top dead center on No.1. I did this so that if I moved the cams it would not cause damage. After setting the cams to the marks and aligning the belt marks with those on the cam, I turned the crank gear back so the dimple was in the center of the half inch protrusion on the case to the bottom of the motor. The timing mark on the harmonic balancer is on 0 when the cams are on their marks. Is this the correct timing now. We have no compression on the No. 1 cylinder. The marks on the belt all line up. The cam sprocket marks and the dimple on the crank gear all match the belt marks. It takes four revolutions of the crank gear to get everything to match up again. Sorry if this is in the wrong area.
