Default SC300 problem..Need help!

so i traded my talon for this sc300..anyways its running rich, black smoke is coming out the exhaust it idles a little rough. i changed out the MAF, igniter, cleaned EGR, and put a new air box since who ever had it before cut it all up...its all stock and it still runs the same..thereis no power at all when i floor it, when i am at a dead stop i have to start from low gear then 2nd then drive in order for it to get up to speed but im assuming it is because the ecu is going into limp mode from it running rich..but im not sure where to start i was thinking it was the timming belt or ecu itself..so i really need help to know where to start

did you run the codes in the computer? I am sure there are several. if you run the codes, post them and there may be several codes caused by one thing going bad.

do computers fail alot in these cars?

Maybe you blew the headgaskets. Could be ECU as well.
