First off let me start by saying that I do not want a manual trans swap!
I love built autos so with that being said I know in the is300 I had the 3rd gear sprag was the weak link but that was the 5 spd auto so I would imagine the a340e or which ever trans is behind the v8 is stronger but will it hold 450wtq with a stall and a modded valve body?

Anybody running any power infront of one of these? I would love to hear your input.

The SC400 trans has virtually the same internals as the Supra TT auto. They can handle ~450 whp with a good cooler and the weak leak is the same, the second gear sprag.

Bummer, Does anybody offer an upgraded sprag these days? It's easy enough to change and while I am there with the vb and converter replacement I may as well if something is avl?

I know titan must have something as they offer built transmissions that handle something like 800 WHP.

Well I am just looking for the sprag and I will swap it out myself as opposed to big$$ for a built trans.

So 350whp wouldnt be a problem for the trans?

There are BPU GTE's at that level with that trans.

I think wat does the most damage is the higher rpm shifting and tire spin during a shift or burnout etc as this is hardest on the sprags.
