I don't think you can swap it out. I tried that and it just made things worse than what they was. is it just over heating or are you snapping belts in the process I had this problem with mine I just replace the fan pump pulley than my car was fine

Do you have a part number for that, or the length of the replacement belt? I'm looking at deleting my hydraulic fan as well. Thanks.

Dont delete your hydro fan unless you decide to get an ls400 idler to replace it and even then just use a stock sized belt. All I did was loop my hydro lines into the reservoir since my pump was shot and only worked on low speed and am replacing the motor in the spring. I replaced the hydro fan with IS300 electric fans and haven't had an issue yet.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm in process of the timing belt, water pump, and cam/crankshaft seals, and of course temperature sensors. My hydro fan spun quite slow if at all, and the fluid smelled burnt. My SC has 155k on it, I got it from a guy who had not worked on it himself and I'm just doing every service I can find on it, belts, sensors and tuneup. (All filters also.) Water pump started leaking so I'm going for it. I've seen a few electric fans and shrouds, they are 16" and the stock one is 18"... so... I'm looking for an electric motor I can mount on the stock fan and shroud. Any suggestions? If that doesn't work I'll just go with a kit.
