It was only a matter of time before everyone started swapping LS1's into Lexus's. Probably the most commonly swapped engine out there.

I even know of a few foxbody mustangs with LSX swaps.

its kinda funny but people are swpping gen 3's into EVERYTHING! its got a small footprint and it makes great power with just bolt ons. I have a single turbo mustang that i built that makes 621whp and 599tq. im pretty much going to copy my own design and do a single on my sc as well. here goes a vid and some pics of my garage built Mustang

Do you think a Ford 4.6/5.4 would fit ? I know their external dimensions are pretty big. I've been wondering what would be an interesting swap. The Devil wants me to put a 4bt in one but I don't know.

I work on ALOT of Ford modular motors (4.6/5.4) and they are waaaaay bigger than the gen 3's. the heads hang out really wide. plus its easier to make more power with a gen 3/ lsx.

That price might not be including the driveshaft, and other modded parts, I bet(?)

Nope, they give different quotes..

I was told that the $800 for the mounts was a "special" price, but now I guess only certain people get that price...

You dont want to know what I was quoted for with the driveshaft and modded cross-member..

lmfao.......that is so true at first i was quoted $1200. but then i was like ok, i dont need my sub frame modified because i know i can do that myself. For 800 i got both motor mounts, the trans crossmember, and the trans urethane mount. i still need to buy the urethane mounts that go in between the dgr mounts and the subframe.
