GenIII 6.0/t-56 swap thread
Started getting my things together for my ls1 (gen 3) swap.
Found a 6.0 out of a silverado ss for $1000
t56 with flywheel and driveshaft for $1000
Ls6 intake with FAST fuel rails and ported throttle body $475
DGR mount kit $800
411 ecu $100
ill post pics as i begin the swap. I dont want to take the 2j out yet until i have a few more things.

its kinda funny but people are swpping gen 3's into EVERYTHING! its got a small footprint and it makes great power with just bolt ons. I have a single turbo mustang that i built that makes 621whp and 599tq. im pretty much going to copy my own design and do a single on my sc as well. here goes a vid and some pics of my garage built Mustang

I work on ALOT of Ford modular motors (4.6/5.4) and they are waaaaay bigger than the gen 3's. the heads hang out really wide. plus its easier to make more power with a gen 3/ lsx.

lmfao.......that is so true at first i was quoted $1200. but then i was like ok, i dont need my sub frame modified because i know i can do that myself. For 800 i got both motor mounts, the trans crossmember, and the trans urethane mount. i still need to buy the urethane mounts that go in between the dgr mounts and the subframe.
