Default 92 SC300 Build

I purchased this 92 5 spd. SC300 about a year and half ago. I've been slowly stockpiling parts for it and recently got started. Here are some progress pics:

Car as purchased with 143k on it.

1995 Aristo front clip. Almost looks to good to remove.

Rear sump setup purchased ahead of time from a GE ready to modify for oil return.

Front and rear sump comparison.

Installed.

Pickup gasket.

TT Supra water pump with backhousing.

US spec Supra twins

JDM spec Supra/Aristo twins. Note the lack of exhaust bypass tube.

Comparison shot of turbo outlets where downpipe mates.

US

JDM

Brand new OEM TT Supra oil return rubber.

JDM vs US EGCV.

Brand new Toyota/Lexus lower control arm bushings.

Old bushing removal.

Pics of the wiring harness I built. The most time consuming process of the swap. I started with a spare SC300 5 spd. wiring harness. I then broke it down and added the appropriate GTE electronics and wire harness plastics from the RHD Aristo harness to look as factory as possible. Here you can see starter, DIAG box, evap vsv, ED ground, and oil level sensor all exiting the harness behind the intake manifold like factory.

Here you see SC300 fuse box wiring in top left, GTE igniter wiring bottom left that was added. Igniter will rest on driver side shock tower just like a factory Supra TT.

Injector 2-6, cam, MAP and IAT sensors.

US spec twins installed.

Wiring harness, turbo heat shield and upper plenum installed.

A Lexus needs a nice interior too.

Rears are currently done.

Car will be getting the full 97 and up conversion and fresh Garnet Red Pearl paint.

OEM Toyota Soarer R154 shifter extension parts to fit R154 to SC just like factory.

99+ SC/GS/RX steering wheel. Still searching for that airbag.

Brand new OEM 97+ tails.

Denso TT fuel pump.

97+ OEM spoiler.

Vintage Work VS Edition wheels.

Precision 600hp intercooler. All piping will be custom by me.

R154 transmission. Clutch is undecided.

I'll update more as I go. That's all for now!

What do you need to do to the GE harness to convert it from the KV wires to MAP?

Compare Supra TT and GE ECU pinouts and wiring diagrams. Add / relocate the necessary pins at the E9 and E10 plugs. Get your plugs and wiring from the donor GTE harness. There are a few threads on this.

Found some more time to work on the car.

About to head in to shop to pull engine.

On the lift.

Everything removed and ready to come out.

And we're out.

Back outside for a wash.

Dirty bay.

Clean bay.

Back inside.

GE next to GTE.

Spec stage 2 for the W58. Less than 1k miles and cost $150.

Trans back on.

And we're in.

Hopefully I'll find time this week to get it up and running and start building the intercooler piping.

Did you keep up a price list? You're really inspiring me to get on with my build, but i'm hesitant with my small wallet. Lol.

Looks good!
