I just notice my car just little better when i replace coil and new spark plug but i smell exhausts like burn maybe LEAN?.. the cat come glowing red when i drive in 5-10min.. cat was replaced when it was too rich then now it look like on LEAN? but sometime light up with said (CHECK ENGINE LIGHT) any one know? maybe bad on front pair cats? let me know..
I don't think you are running lean. Sounds like you are still running rich causing the excess fuel to go through the combustion chamber unburnt making your cats work harder. Seems like the coil(s) and plug(s) you replaced didn't fix your problem. I would say more than likely an O2 sensor is out.
Oh man...i should get code scanner to check my car see what up with that..so you think my cats will fail again or what? also i see my cluster rpm appear like too low idle.. that mean bad of throttle position sensor?
If your cats were glowing red, chances are they probably started melting again. If they stay red for too long the molten internals will cause back pressure to build up; in turn causing your idle to fall.
you should pull the check engine light code first and report back.
did you reset the ecu after doing the coils.
you should have reset it or you have to give the ecu enough time to relearn.
