Exclamation Steering wheel having sligtly delayed steering response?

anyone else experience this? As of lately whenever i turn my steering wheel i nottice that there is substantial ammount of "play". there's a delay from when i turn the steering wheel and when the actual front wheels turn. I was on I-95 coming from Miami yesterday like WTF.

I'll turn the steering wheel left/right and the steering responce is off. does this have anthing to do with the steering rack bushings?

an alighmnment wont fix that either right

anyone chime in..

yea when i first bought my car it had this issue..wasnt bad on the back streets when test driving but when i came on the interstate doing about 60 i literally almost wrecked ..mine were BAD ..no rubber left on the bushings just the metal insert..bought some new ones and installed them..its pretty simple job but expect to get very dirty..car handles a lot better..still have to replace my lca's cause driver side is done for
anyway its a cheap 40 bucks or so and makes a hell of a difference

I was having similar problems with wildly unresponsive steering inputs. It was very dangerous, and I was worried that the entire front end was toast.

I ordered the Daizens from TM Engineering and got them in my hands 6 days later.

I could not believe the difference that they made. The steering wheel was magically centered again, and the steering response was improved 100%. I still need to replace some other parts in the front end, but the Daizens made an incredible difference. Much more significant than when I did the polyurethane LCA bushings.

If your car is having problems with steering response, this will help immensely.

i've been having this prob for a while, wanted to fix it sooner, but i ordered through TM and NEVER GOT THEM. bugged them for months and got no response from them. Hopefully you get your bushings.

And yes, do the alignment after you replace the bushings. No point of aligning on **** bushings that won't stay centered.

You might also check the steering rack boots to see if they are torn or leaking. Your bushings are likely shot anyways, but if you need to replace the rack it should come with new bushings.
