Default Anyone running the GE canister with a GTE swap?

How are you guys routing vacuum to the GE canister? At this point, I just have a vacuum line run to the small nipple on the canister with a check valve on it. Is it ok for the canister to see vacuum pretty much all the time(except when under boost)? I forgot to look on the GE before I disconnected it to see if it is vsv controlled purge or anything like that.
