When rev the engine to about 2000rpm or drive at a speed and gear the motor is revving at 2000rpm, the engine shakes the car disturbingly. It does it also at a bit below 3000rpm, at about 4000rpm and so on.
At idle and between the specific rpm's, I can't feel nothing wrong with the engine.

This is my first car with 8 cylinders, I used to own cars with straight four engines before.
So here is a dumb question: Is a cylinder misfiring or not firing at all clearly distinguishable, like with 4 cylinder engines?
I'm thinking also maybe failing motor mounts...
What else could it be?

If the motor mounts are wearing out, it could be causing some resonance at those rpm's
