Default 5spd swap, what about clutch switch?

Im almost done with my 5spd swap sc300, getting closer to firing it up. Im not even sure if this will be a problem, but do I need to do anything about the clutch safty switch, or lack there of? Do I need to splice or ground any wires from the ECU that would normally run to the stock clutch switch?

I hope im being clear enough, I know it sounds confusing.

Thanks,
Mike

your park/neutral switch will need jumping so you can start the car.

Okay so all you need to do is get a thick (I used 14ga) wire, put one of those slide on ends to the wire (so it will slide on over a flat metal lead like the one seen above on the trans connector).

Take off your remote lead on the starter (NOT the one with the nut)

Slide on your new wire/end

Take this wire and run it as described above into the cabin, under the dash

Connect it to the thick black/white wire

Voila you can now start your car in any position using the key.

Thanks for the help above and to OneJay for his help because between the two of you I am now able to start my car with the key and without the car in neutral (due to my AT ECU)

***No need to mess with the plug underneath on the trans, no need to mess with the relay, just a straightforward line from the starter to the starter wire inside the cabin***

Do you know which wires need to be jumped together?

Kevin, this info seems like it only pertains to 5spd swaps with the stock AT ecu being used? Im swapping in a 5spd ECU, so is this still necessary?

When I did my swap, I kept the safty switch on in case if I decided to install a remote start. It's cold up here in Minnesota.

OK, getting closer to getting this thing on the road. Does anyone have a link to a writeup on what to jump, or what wires to splice?

The link djkevin posted does not work.

Thanks fellas,
Mike

Couldn't you use the park/neutral switch and connect it to the clutch switch? I'm planning on doing the same thing this weekend weather permitting and I'm going to use m/t ecu

What about the cruise control? Doesn't it need a clutch switch and brake switch to cancel the cruise and keep the revs from spiking when hitting the clutch?

Or do manual swaps not have working cruise?

Help locate the nss on the auto, the clutch switch would be where the auto nss is it
