Default LS400 tranny in SC400 speed sensor help

I just got a 92 SC4 from my bro And the speedometer doesn't work. Found oit when the the tranny gave out my bro got a deal on a LS tranny and put that in.

Is there any way I can make me speedometer to work with a LS tranny?

just curious are you sure its the sensor and not just the cluster it self..
its a very common issue with these cars that the motors in the cluster go out.
just something else to look into.

He said the speedometer worked with the sc4 tranny. He doesn't remember what the mechanic said about the Speedometer not working when they installed it.

Can anyone confirm that the speed sensor on the LS4 and SC4 are the same?

try to find a street that has one of those detectors on it....i doubt they are perfect but they give a good indication..usually we have them on roads that are 30mph around here.
