2jzgte into sc300
Ok so i have sc300 and i have been looking and researching for days now and i am interested in doing the swap but since im not very good with working on car's and i don't have friends that are even as good as me on them lol i figured i was going to pay someone to do the drop in. I am curious on the costs on getting it done. I really do enjoy my car and right now with the 2nd and od gears not working properly and 207k on the engine with some money coming in i figure it might be the perfect opportunity. I would love it if somone had a list on what they needed to get the swap done, like a check list. thanks guys

hahah search its all over the site, but since your going to keep it auto, really pull the motor and tranny . drop in new motor and tranny , harness work you can send off to have done by driftmotion, kaizen and dr tweak all about 350-550 to make it plug and play , redo everything you did to pull the motor, and a intercooler and intake, thats the short list,
long list,
buy complete motor ecu and harness with all proper sensors , map and ignitor
disconnect battery,
drain coolant
pull drive shaft
remove radiator and ALL associated coolant lines upper radiator, lower, and 2 for the heater system at the firewall
undo throttle cable
undo alternator conenctions
unplug engine harness to body harness at fuse box
undo fuel lines
pull up carpet on passenger side under dash, disconnect ecu and body harnsses ,
pull engine harness into engine bay, easier to leave on the motor to pull the motor,
undo engine mounts,
pull exhaust,
drain tranny
pull drive shaft
undo tranny mounts
make sure motors pretty much disconnected, and pull it all out ,
when your dooing a swap now you need a intercooler setup , if your get everything from a front clip you should have it all... if not after market intercooler, might as well do a radiator too... kinda off the top of my head, but to drop it in.. redo everything you undid.....

You can drop the motor yourself its not as hard as it seems. Just need the right tools, plus its a great way to start learning. Diagnostics and electrical on the other hand is another story.

seams okay, but ive never used them so dunno, i use to buy form gspeed and i get my motors from people i know who import so it s a little safer for me,
idealy a motor ecu and harness with all sensors run between 2000 - 2600 all depends who from and what it comes with,
harness wiring if you send it out 350 - 550 depends who
intercooler kit lets 500 for a cx or god speed
down pipe $200.00
these are all averge prices, and most shops charge 800-1500 for swap labor
so whats already 4K into + small parts and fluids expect to spend 5K ish...
