I'm running it on a GTE with an auto. Shouldn't have any problems using it on ab NA-T..

I will be running it on my 1j 5 speed shortly. But the person you want to talk to about it is Jordan and his name on here is, shaodome.

Haltech or AEM, hands down the BEST reviews...oh and EMU isnt a EMS, simply a piggy back in a shiny box..

Built correctly, Megasquirt has been proven to be pretty reliable. I'd take it over an AEM any day.

^+1. I have a friend using a Megasquirt in his boosted Tercel, and the car runs great on ~22lbs of boost.

I love the ignorance Just because it doesn't have the brand name behind it doesn't mean it can't be a fully capable system that beats the pants off a lot of stuff for the price. In today's economy, price is more of a factor than ever.

The thing about megasquirt is its DIY nature has created a lot of "hack jobs" in the market floating around. They are only as good as they are built, hands down. It is a little more complicated than just putting legos together, which is why there are a handful of resellers out there and individuals who built for specific applications.

I've made over 700whp on the one in my car and it has never skipped a beat and has a lot of the same features as much more expensive units. Is it a ProEFI or an AEM 2, no, it isn't, but it can be had for half the price and make the same power just as reliably. For the record, my Megasquirt is full sequential spark and does not require using a DLI like the AEM V1 does for the GTE setups. That being said, for all those GE guys out there, you can use Megasquirt to convert to coil on plug pretty damn easy. Just utilize the BOTTOM of the distributor as the the engine position sensors, run in dual wheel mode and then wire up the coil on plug w/ oem gte ignitor (or use Megasquirt internal ignitors)....maybe I should make a how to someday

I've had MS2 running semi-sequential on my 2j for a while, so if necessary I could adjust the "#6" from running lean, but my spark plugs haven't shown any issues yet. 99% of the time I run pump gas as this is a street car, so I haven't hit any flow limitations of the stock manifold....it was more of a lets see if I can make it work project. Right now the car is running on megasquirt 3 with even more features and resolution high enough to support today's fastest port injectors. I believe the MS3 processor is in the 0.000X range for PW now. Just waiting on the drop in MS3X daughter card to switch over to full sequential fuel.

Bringing this one back...

Would anyone who has made this work have a problem helping to make a how-to for our specific application? (Shadome, or //LRD) All I really need are a couple tips to get the software settings figured out.

I have no problem building and wiring, but I am unsure of the ignition and injector settings within the firmware.

I built and ran/tuned a MS1 running MSnS-E code on my old Capri and it was cake since it is a well documented application.

With a little help, we can make MS a viable(affordable) option for JZ standalone.
