I DD my welded Diff. The side effects are mainly blown way out of proportion. Biggest thing that annoy me is its hard to pull into tight parking spots now at super slow speeds

As for the axels remove the 6 bolts have someone spin the rear wheels while you lightly tap around the input end with a hammer and she'll pop out.

They are not blown out of proportion. Of all the crazy things i did to my car, welded diff was the worst one. Your wheels are always going the same way, and when you turn the tires turp like crazy.

It wears out your tires, puts stress on your axles, and its plain PITA for DD.

yeah it wears out your tires but honestly no worse than having huge camber. I do not run super sticky tires in the rear and the only time i have ever had my tires make noise was super hot days taking a corner fast. GO slow and easy and all that happens is the tire shudders and our rear axels a rated pretty strong they can handle it
