LOL that motor is worthless- "engine only" means no harnesses ECUs, electronics, anything. Good luck sourcing all that.

I thought there was only one of those in existence, apparently after looking they came on the Japanese toyota Century Limo. Im sure it can be wired up with a standalone (with a lot of work and custom wiring).. It says the original engine runs off 2 ecu's anyways, so maybe 2 aem's could get the job done.

Top secret used two HKS F-Con ECUs for it. There are very few ECUs that can drive 12 injectors out of one box. Motec comes to mind, but I'm not sure who else. But it's truly not worth it. Out of the box it's not a very stout motor- you would need a fairly extensive build. You are far better cost wise stroking a UZ motor if you want the 5+L of displacement. Being "different" is not always better unless you are a shop trying to promote a brand which is exactly what top secret was doing with the 1gz. To date, I don't think they've offered a single performance part for the 1gz- it was entirely a demo piece.

a 5.0l V12, fail?...Ill stick with my 2JZ. cheaper, lots of aftermarket support, and only needs 1 ecu and 6 spark plugs.

yea, too much for a DIY project, you need at least anothe $15-20K to make it a monster, most of it coming from custom parts. Would be neat if it could be done right.

iv already talked about this. that engine is useless without all the other ****. its impossible unless you use a aftermarket ecu with support for 12 cylinders then again its got dual ignition where two plugs fire at the same time. blah blah blah too much for the engine i found one for 2500 with full harness and the two stock ecus. still a pos...

600 bhp seems nice for 5.0 V12. if I had the time and money I'd take a project like this up.

[QUOTE=Cleanshots;5641958]its got dual ignition where two plugs fire at the same time.

Its called Waste Spark.
You could also get the computer & wiring diagram from Toyota then just wire it up urself when ready to do so the way u want. might take a good amount of time experience and money but hey y not.

I am running wastespark on my 2jz its not that complicated. 1GZ basically uses like 2 6 cylinder ecu's.
It could be done, but other than the cool factor, the 2jz is still the favorite around these parts..
