Default 1JZ Air Conditioning, quick question

so when I bought my car it already had the 1jz swap, was told the compressor is bad on the AC, but just checked it and it is not locked up.. its not turning on, which makes me think its the wiring on it, or it was never hooked up.. anybody know the wiring for the 1jz compressor??

thank you

If your a/c powers ON and blows hot air but compressor is not spinning you need free-on to make it spin, if it does not power ON for anything then that's electrical.

me too, i figured it would still get power just not blow hot.. it looks like the compressor just gets no power.. but that would really be freeon at that point? i thought about jus tputting a p[ower and ground to it and giving it my own switch lol

check the magnetic clutch relay, those tend to go bad on a lot of toyotas. To make sure it works, swap it with another relay similar to it and see if that does the trick. If so you need a relay. If not, it's a wiring issue....

100% agree, my 1jz A/C stopped working after several years of trouble free cold air. Compressor stopped working when it started leaking. There is a check valve in the compressor that shuts it down when low or no freon is in the system.
