Part Numbers for Exhaust Gaskets on '92 SC400
I'm preparing to pull the transmission to change the main rear seal & thought I'd change the exhaust gaskets while I'm at it. Anyone have a stock exhaust diagram for '92 SC400 w/ 1UZ engine showing the p/ns for the gaskets? In particular I need p/n for exhaust gaskets:
- Btnw Manifold & Cat. (2 req'd.)
- Btwn Cat & Y pipe (2 req'd)
- Btwn Y pipe & center pipe (?) (1 req'd)

Anyone out there have the exhaust gasket part numbers?
My shop manual just shows they should be replaced, but doesn't identify the p/n. The old ones appear to be made of copper (?) and show signs of leakage via black carbon deposits out to the OD edge. Vehicle has 170K miles & I expect they are original gaskets. I will change them now that they are off, but I don't want the hassle of ordering the wrong p/n's off internet.

Now that I have the CATs off it looks like I have more problems than just the exhaust gaskets. The inside of the CATs are half gone, partially melted, & loose pieces. Also the downstream front pipe has lots of pieces stuck in the center resonator. Sounds like a baby's rattle when I shake it. I'm in south Fla & we don't have emission checks. I've read that others have gutted their CATs & reinstalled them. Does it have much of an affect on engine performance, although I'm all stock now. Any advise on how to gut them, or do I just go at it with a hammer chissle?
While I got you attention, does anyone know the p/n's for the gaskets I need? And by the way, I didn't yet pull the trans to change the leaky main rear seal that started this effort.
Thanks in advance for any constructive (or should I say destructive...gutting the CAT) advice.
