Default 1jzgte VS 2jzgte (jdm) turbo

Is there any difference between the *jdm 1/2j twins? Are they interchangeable? (I searched here/supraforums/google and not gotten a specific* answer) Thanks in advance.

check supra forums you need to make a spacer adapter between the turbos to space them out and it all fits,

ct12 (1J) compared to ct20 (2J). 1J blades are ceramic and they will go bad with continuous beating. The 2J blades are steal (if not mistake) and can take the abuse. However, like everything else, it has its threshold..

In addition to the spacer, one of the manifold bolts has to be made larger to accomdate the bolt pattern. With the spacer and the larger hole, also a custom down pipe is necessary...

both jdm 1jz/2jz blades are ceramic. both will leave you with no powah if you beat them up on high boost 15+/-psi..

correct.. I was referring to USDM.. my apologies for the confusion..

for those interested..

"For the export model (America/Europe) Toyota upgraded the Supra turbo's engine (smaller, steel wheeled turbochargers, bigger fuel injectors, etc.)."

If I were you, I would go with the USDM version..

usdm versions are harder to find, ironic though since we are in the us, and when you do find them, people want a lot more money.....dont mean to thread jack, but i wanted to know, does anybody in here know if there is a difference between the soarer auto trans, and the sc300 auto trans internally

They are not that hard to find. I just picked up a set with 25k on them for $350 from supraforums.
