Default Slight delay in throttle response.. what could it be?

I've been having a hard time figuring out what it is, and I remember the dude that did my muffler saying that I had "play" in my driveshaft?

Basically whenever I give it gas while driving on say 2nd gear, there's a split second delay and a minor jolt / lunge.. I wanna know what might be causing this?

Not the problem with the ECU, it's not sluggish at all..

It just has a small lag when I push the gas as in you hear the engine rev then a split second later you feel the power...

I take it you car is an automatic?

If so, it could be the tranny

or

does your driveshaft have one of those torque dampeners?
it could be that too.

IDK, sounds like rubber to me. I'd look at the torque dampers and maybe even engine/tranny mounts.

I am due for a new clutch, I'll try that and see how it goes.. but if I punch it and shift, usually a slipping clutch would rev high then back down right? Mine still grabs really hard..

I've done my throttle body already, it made no difference.

It also happens when I let go of gas if that makes a difference?

sounds to me like you need to check your TPS position..my TPS is off on my NA-T right now, and I know its off, but I have the same slight hesitation your describing.

Dunno why, but I got the impression you were experiencing a drive train jolt. It sounds more like you're just concerned about a delayed throttle response . . .is that right?

Ditto on this, im not sure what your supposed to set it at on lexus's but on subys you do a .5 after you blip the throttle. It will make sure you have no lag on throttle response. But, lexus's are kind of built to be soft on the throttle, until you put it into ECT mode.
