??? about the 1jz vvti
i was looking and not many people were running this i have searched for high and low parts and i cant find anything for the car as far as aftermarket wise.
how hard is it to get this motor in my 95 sc thinking about picking 1 up or should i just use a regular 1jz motor
ps i have a spare 1jz complete head.

unfortunately since the vvti was only made in the soarer in 98-200 in japan and in the jzx100 and jzx110 chaser not too many out their, as to after market support minimal yes, turbo manifolds are definately different, but most of the other parts are the same, sensors ( except vvti stuff) are the same, injectors, belts all the same, water pumps as well , chaser motors are front sump, soarers are rear so if you get a chaser youll need a rear sump assembly, really the swap is the same, weather its 1j vvti or non, but wiring is the same monster between the two unless you have a sc300 and you get a older series 2 1jz motor then its plug and play, everything involed in teh swaps the same, if you talk to alot of people who have done it, they say the 1j vvti is the best all around daily driver , good low end torque ,

Could you specify the plug and play? The way it sounds is that if you have an sc and a 2nd gen 1j non-vvti then everything is plug and play. I am also doing a vvti swap, are all the plugs the same if I get an actual soarer motor/harness as the sc?
