Default Burning some oil - any suggestions?

I swapped my tail lights and I noticed a little dust on them today after letting my 92 SC300 warm up the last couple mornings for like 10-15 minutes. That blackish kind of dust that indicates you're burning some oil.

I am hesitant to use any of those mystery oils or compounds that claim to eliminate burning oil without consulting the incredibly experienced crew here. I haven't had it tuned up since I bought it and I think it idles a little low, so I was considering getting new plugs and getting it tuned up by the lexus dealer or my local Toyota guy.

Anyway, I've got 133k on the engine and it pulls pretty good. Any advice you guys can offer right off the bat?

It's not unusual to use a little oil after that many miles on a engine. How much are you down between oil changes? If it's less than a quart, I wouldn't even worry about it.

also make sure the egr isnt all gunked up and inspect and clean the throttle body/Y-pipe area. its technically a regular maintenance item but some people never do it.

you sure its oil and not gas? if your car is running rich it could look the same.
I would suggest not doing anything until you check your oil level at regular intervals and confirm its actually lower. I would say its unlikely your engine is burning alot of oil and still pulling good.
you could need a new o2 sensor or have some type of leak that would make your car run rich and leaves that kind of soot on the back of the bumper after a while.
odb1 is bad at throwing those codes too.

yeah, do that if its been over 60k and you notice bad fuel economy and sluggish performance down low. my 95 wouldn't even throw the light when I had the o2 sensors completely disconnected.
