greetings:
I am new the Club Lexus site and have not yet mastered all of the various functions.
However, let's give it a try.
I have a box-stock 1995 SC400 w/109K mi. The car runs and looks like new and has been carefully checked out. I purchased the car because I have always admired the body style and the potential which I believe the engine has. And I got real sick of being screwed by the BMW dealers."POTENTIAL" being the operative word here.
The car goes..but there's more hiding in there somewhere and I want it.
Where do I start?
Exhaust?
Plugs?
Throttle Plate?
Air Filter?
Headers?
I need a guide here, someone who's done that been there, knows the ropes.
Thank you in advance for the help.
Richard

Headers are on sale right now and give 16rwhp.
The Weapon-R ECU(Computer)/ColdAirBox/Filter/Exhaust will give you around 35RWHP together which would bring you to around 226rwhp. 175RWHP is stock for an early make SC400. Yes, the 75hp drivetrain loss sucks.
So you are talking about an SC faster than a stock GS400 since the earliest SCs weighed 3600 pounds. Add a Precision Industries torque converter and I would not be suprised if you are in mid to low 5s.
This is my path before the supercharging.
Wait a few months and my supercharger project will be done @8.5PSI. With the above mods I am hoping for at least 375RWHP.
I say three months since I have to make this annoying mounting bracket and am trying to keep the install as simple as possible.

exhausts?
Thanks for the shopping list. By exhausts I assume that you mean front to back change out. Hummm, as I look under the car it appears to have 3 CATS, 2 mufflers and 2 resonators. Too much choking going on there.
What is the solution. Is there a slick install that adds some "Throat", gives back power and doesn't sound like a Harley?
