Default Shifter arm - have to be replaced from inside car?

Guys,

Bent the shifter arm while putting motor back in my car. About to replace it but wasn't sure if you could replace the arm from underneath the car, or whether it had to be done inside the car? Anyone know? Auto SC300.

Thanks.

Shifter arm? The linkage rod can only be replaced from underneath.....the shifter assembly itself and all its components have to be changed from inside the car.
