Default will 5speed work on gte?

okay so I'm finally in the market for a 2jzgte TT. most of the ones I'm finding are automatics. the few 6speeds I found are overpricey. I need to know if possible and how hard would it be to bolt on my 5speed in my n/a (won't push it past 500hp) and also if you guys can post links to reputable sites I can find a cheap 2j.

I would guess that a W58 should be able to work but I don't see why you would want to put a NA trans with a turbo motor? IT's going to eventually break...

One of my friends has a R154 mated to his GTE with no issues..You should probably try to find one of these since they handle much more power than the W58...

Yes, you can join up a W58 or R154 to any JZ motor with no issues. There are some quirks with the W58 and R154 depending on where you source it from but they can be overcome. Check the sig.

many na-t or swapped mkiv supras have made 500+hp on the w58 with a very heavy duty clutchs. People tend not to even keep them around because they are unpredictable when they'll break under power or when the dont. You find more people saying no dont use them vs people saying they had one that blew, its just one of those things.
