Exclamation how do i remove power steering pump pulley?

im in the process of replacing my alternator and its unbolted/unplugged. and i cannot get it out without removing the power steering pulley. i rented a pulley remover from my local parts store and it seems not to grip it at all. ive watched/read several tutorials in the past few hours (none of them sc400 specific) and have come up with nothing. if anyone has or can point me in the right direction, i could really use it at the moment. thank you.

note: the car is a 1999 sc400

Glad you got it. I recommend loosening the bolt while the belt is on. If that doesn't work, I've used a plumber's wrench to grab hold of the pulley. This can cause grooves, so you have to be careful.
