Default How to clean foggy lens on '97 SC300?

The passenger side headlight lens is very foggy. Is there a way to take it out to clean or better, clean it without having to remove it first?

"Foggy" sounds like you have condensation inside your headlight assembly. Search in the forum for a fix. I had to drill some holes in the bottom of my assembly even after taking it apart and resealing it. No more condensation ...

Looks completely dry but just dirty. How did you take it apart?

Any plastic or paint polish can clean off the oxidation on the headlights when used with a polishing pad and polisher.

Apply some polish and just buff it out. It should clean the lens pretty well. Afterwards if it's still slightly yellowish, you will need to remove the the lens and polish the inside as well. I used the oven trick to do mine.

You can clean it in a few seconds where it sits with a deoxidizer.

+1 . I had my buddy do it for me with a buffer without removing the headight. He used some cut solution and Mequire's polishing stuff. See the before and after pics, came out pretty nice..

We took the headlight apart afterwards, he was bored and threw some clear film on it to prevent it from oxidizing again. Till this day the headlights still look clear and bright..
