Default Mechtech SC400 twin turbo kit!

How much is this kit? Has anyone investigated? With turbo it dynoed 276rwhps and 319rwtq at 6.5psi. That's a gain of 97 wheel horses and 126 wheel torque. This is a good enough a starting point to build upon. Imagine the gains on 12psi!

Also,Marcus said that the guy lived not too far from us here in WA state.

The owner of the shop is Jim McFarland, he's a nice guy and knows his *****. The TT setup isn't a one-off, he's done it a few times, but it's not avail in a kit either. We're talking 15 grand here folks.

From what Ive heard/read, the mechtech project was a joke. I have also heard that it cost 15000 to create. 15G's for 100 rwhp. For that you could buy a beater 300 AND turbo it, while still keeping your 400

...Or a 32valve ZR1 corvette swap.
Any details on what kind of components were used;turbos;intercooler;stock timing;additional injectors;fuel pump;etc.?
Would be good pivot info for the guys who're armchair-wrenching their turbo install.

doesn't matter, whatever it was, its worthless

97rwhp for $15k? my god; i'd shoot myself... i wouldn't even contemplate on using any parts from that kit... a turbo kit ISN'T that complicated... if someone spent that much money on a turbo kit and only made that kind of power, in the size of the motor we're talking about... seriously, he's a moron and couldn't tune something to save his life

come on, a nitrous kit can make more power than that and it'll cost $600

i spoke with the guys at M-tech. Actually it was series of emails. I asked him how much it would cost. He replied and told me $17K. I told him that he had given quotes for $15K for other people and why it was $17K for me. He didn't reply to me after that. Oh well. I actually spoke to people at custom turbo shops and I was told I should be looking at no more than $12K for a twin turbo setup. just my 3 cents... its 2 cent for everyone else

Luthor we can do a group turbo install. If we get like 3 guys to do it its going to be totally worth it for them. I'll go to the west of if they can send the kit.... the 6K price is installed?
