Any automatic drivers ever had this PROBLEM

Default Any automatic drivers ever had this PROBLEM

So i was driving my car yesterday just to check out my suspension...and then my over drive light comes on than FLASHES and the ECT power light is on, than i realize while driving the the car is like NOT shifting at all..sounds like on big gear and the car has no pick up at all

WEIRD

So this morning i took everything from the center dash out including the shifter cover (P R N D) and i noticed that the ECT power switch was not connected to ANYTHING and there was a grey/blue plug not connected EITHER Just postin to see if anyone had this prob

post pics i believe the ect is a brown plug deflinitly suppose to be plugged up other i cant remember

Can you still shift manually? If so what gears does it go to in each position? Sounds like it may be a solenoid problem I can help narrow it down with a chart I have, with that info.

I have that problem with my O/D light flashing as well....But in my case, my transmission was overheating...It happened when I full throttled the car going up a hill. The problem with the O/D light flashing, is that it could be a number of problems...It's very difficult to narrow it down until you hook it up to diagnostic machine.

Moved to Engine/ Trans section

The transmission is in limp home mode - The computer bypasses all shifting
& gives you 2nd gear to get home. Therefore loss of power.

As mentioned above, you have to pull codes to see whats the problem.
