Default Motor mount question for you 2jzgte'ers

I remember reading something about "long" and "short" motor mounts, so I did a search on here and used the obvious words "motor mounts"...didn't come up with anything that could help.

I have a 99 SC300 and I'm just about ready too drop my Aristo GTE in. Am I good with the motor mounts I have or do I need to change up?

...actually any info about the tranny mount would be gravy as well

I would highly recomend running some motor mounts from a 98 supra turbo. They are very cheap compared to the stock lexus motor mounts. Off the top of my head, I would say the supra motor mounts are around $60 each compared to the lexus mounts around $120 each. These are the "small" motor mounts that are around 3.5" tall, compared to the "tall mounts" found on the 93-96 supra. Another plus to the supra small mounts besides the price is that they are encased in aluminum and are allot stronger unlike the open style n/a mounts.

ummmm, dont hold your breath because your mounts might not fit. I swapped in a supra bottom end and my mounts didn't fit, so i bought the passenger 98 supra, only the passenger seems to give people problems. I recommend changing your mounts anyway, mine was already separated and the car only had 90,000 miles. So goodluck.

The second time I pulled the engine to do the clutch. I ended up with a broke Motor Mount. I just bought the Supra TT Motor Mount. It looks very different but fits perfect. I placed it on the Driver Side because that seem to be the hard side to swap out. I will be changing the other side as soon as the swap is done and no extra cash is needed. I will see if I can find the part number. Like 93twintrbo POSTED it's like half the price

Default it works

sc300 with obd1aristo one of the two sets of mounts work flawlessly. You will have to try both I dont remember if Used the aristos or stock ones but I didnt buy any.
I hear obd2 aristo vvt-i gte is also direct with vvt-i U.S
VVT-I aristo with obd1 non-vvt-i Jdm aristo not so much the case
1jzgte Soarer for sc300 direct
and 7m to 1jzgte
1j bell housing to 7mgte trans for five speed swap, gain 1k rpmm with 1j ecu on 2j motor and trans swap or auto

By reading all the posts above, it sounds like you can. What people are saying they are almost half the price as the Lexus mounts.. Shorter TT mounts will work, lond TRD mounts needs brackets

I have installed TT motor mount on 98SC300 and they fit perfect no issue at all, if they fit the 98 i don't see why they won't fit the 99SC.
But i know you can't use GS/SC/Supra Na or TT mount on the IS because they are different.
