Automatic Transmission -cooling feed/return lines
alright. i just swapped a new automatic transmission into my 1jzgte sc300. problem is that is the cooling lines on the transmission twisted and broke while removing (i had all the right tools, i was doing this at a car shop with 4 experienced people). anyway we went out got new metal fitting and connected high pressure rubber hose to it, made some brackets to keep it away from anything spinning and hot.
the problem is when i connected the rubber hoses from transmission to the rubber hoses on the radiator, i had to use a metal pipe and and clamps. once i started the car these leaked. i then tightened them up again and started it and ran the car for a bit. it didnt leak. however im really concerned about this line, i don't trust it. any ideas?
ALSO:
the shift arm goes into gear but the gear indication isnt lighting up, for some reason. when the light, lights up the shifter arm isnt in gear, once i put arm into gear the light goes away. its not that big of a deal but, its sorta annoying. Park, and L however light up and are in the right position.

Keep an eye on them....If you aren't feeling like trusting them enough, go to a hose and rubber shop that makes custom hoses for trucks. They will have the hose and fittings that they specially crimp to solve yhour concerns about leaking. They are a lot cheaper than the stock hardlines.

At the Tranny you have two options:
1. 14mm to AN-6 adapter with copper washer if you come directly out of the transmission...
2. 16mm to AN-6 adapter with copper washer if you leave the directional elbow coming out of the transmission.
At the radiator:
I used 3/8" nipple to AN-6 adapter.
Oh by the way, if you come directly out of the rear transmission fitting (without the OEM elbow fitting) a 60deg AN adapter works. I also had to stack two copper washers on the adapters out of the transmission so the threads wouldn't bottom out. Enjoy.
