Default Quick A/F readings from my AEM UEGO (video)

I just installed this today. The sensor is located about 6" lower than the factory sensor (off the manifold) right above the cat.

The video is super crappy but that's all I could get. Could anyone please give me some advice on what they see from the numbers? I don't really know how to read them yet. I added some titles to the video.

I don't think the engine is running very well. When the throttle is pressed the numbers go 18+ (super lean right?). When I have some more time I'll be setting up the blue wire (RS-232 output) and I'll have some more raw data.

why do you need a wideband for a stock motor?

If it's stock there is nothing you can do to change those numbers anyway

I just like data and information. Something fun to do.

So changing the plugs, wires, injectors won't change those numbers? I would disagree.

if it's a stock engine it really doesn't matter. Sure it's a tad on the lean side, but this is on a bone stock motor, no boost. I would say your just fine.

I just drove around town for about 15 minutes. The numbers look fine. It stays between 14.0-15.0 during normal acceleration etc. When I let off the gas it goes 18+ (off the meter). I guess that's normal? I didn't have alot of room to go WOT for more than a couple seconds, but the numbers were between 12.0 and 13.0.

when you're above a certain rpm and you let go of the gas, the car just stops injecting fuel. Once you're below that rpm (probably a bit higher then the stall rpm of the engine), it'll start injecting fuel again. Saves gas that way.

Those numbers look like they're all right. My stock sc400 was running really rich on my AFR.

afr's seem fine..18+ is fine when you lift the throttle, cause there is no fuel being injected like sc-driver said.

Very cool guys.

Thanks!

the sensor has to (warm up 5 - 10mins of driving) before it starts to read correctly.

"video"

there is no load on the engine for starters and the ecu will not be getting a speed reading aswell.

so, no wonder its lean it doesn't have to inject the fuel needed for the speed and load.

Here's a better video with my new phone. I took this after driving for 20 minutes at varying RPMs. The numbers basically say everything is running fine.
