Default Best SC to modify for high performance

I did a quick search but came up empty. I'm wondering if there's a thread that already discusses the advantages between the SC300 and SC400 when it comes to modifying the car for high performance. Is one easier to modify than the other? Is one typically more expensive to attain good performance out of?

I have an opportunity to own one of these vehicles (my friend has a lot with several of them available). If I could get one to do 0-60 runs in 5.4 seconds or so without spending tens of thousands of dollars and completely ruining reliability, than I'm really interested..

I'd rather not start a similar thread in the suspension forum so can they be made to handle well? If so, does one have a major advantage over the other?

Thanks in advance...
