hey guys just got a dual exhaust made by greddy/ trust i believe off of a jdm soarer. got it from jhot but anyways the inlet piping is rusting through so i figured ill have my exhaust shop chop off the inlets but my question is what size to have them weld on.

im currently running a 3 inch catback flanged piping so i figure ill have them weld 3 inch inlets on these trust mufflers and put a y pipe from my 3 inch piping. im not an expert on backpressure and exhausts and all that but does this sound like a good idea?

any opinions on why or why i shouldnt do this? any and all opinions are appreciated

non turbo for the moment but i am in the process of going over the whole setup to insure it will be ready for a turbo.

i do currently run a 3 inch exhaust setup thats why i mentioned welding 3 inch inlets onto the new cans
