Default Car putts, radio turns off when I hit turn signal?

It's happened a few times before then stopped for a couple months and now started again today on the HWY...when I hit my turn signal the radio turned off and the car shook a little like there is bad ground or something is being drawn out?..is this common on a 93 or earlier??..any input on where to look??..
Thanks

The connections seem ok...the negative had some build up at one time but i soaked it in baking soda...also the radio re-programs itself everytime I turn the car off...

Clean your grounds, check the stereo wiring, replace negative battery cable, replace battery/alternator, or electrical ghosts. I had the same problem when signaling or when the brake lights went on. I fixed it with a 1GS negative battery cable.

I cleaned and sanded the terminals today and checked the grounds...seem all good...with the stereo wiring are you talking about behind the head unit?..it came with a 7"DD but,the previous owner had took the sub/amp out...the wire he left is disconnected from the battery...I noticed today the driver side door light is flashing like a strobe light now...i shook the car thinking it's a loose wire but,no luck...I hope it's not the alt.cause I do have a valve cover leak I haven't gotten around to fix yet..

sounds like a bad radio install. radio not keeping its channels means no 12v constant wire is hooked up. Probably spliced into a wire that is tied into your turn signals also.

Yeah sad to say...I talked to my friend who installs stereos and he said the same..."your not getting a constant 12v to your radio bro, that's why your ***** keeps re-programing when you turn your car off"...could be spliced in the turn signals..I hope not though, seriously how stupid can you be?...but,it has occurred on the hwy when I hit the turn signal(radio turns off, dash lights dim, headlights flicker randomly even when turn sig.is off)...but,overall if that was the case wouldn't that be the cause of a loose ground or wire somewhere??..could a loose wire in the head unit cause all this to happen randomly though??

yes bad wiring can cause that. get your friend to go over it and fix it before it messes up something.
