Default SC400 Single Exhaust Pipe Diameter

I was looking through the sticky thread, but most of the 400's were dual and the singles were either on 300's or boosted applications . I wanna run a single pipe so I was guessing about 2.5" should be good for the diameter but just wanted to get some other opinions as to if that's too big or too small. Any opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: I have a 1UZ-FE VVT-i motor

If you're going single on a 1uz, I would go 3"

Well I got my HKS muffler and 3" piping done today and I must say I LOVE how it sounds. I would post a video clip but my uber cheap cell phone doesn't send pics or videos to e-mails, just phones. So if someone would be willing to accept a video sent to their phone and then upload it for me, I'd greatly appreciate it and would like to add it to the official exhaust thread

And Lexscme...it's not raspy at all...very deep with an agressive throaty sound on the throttle...I've yet to floor it cuz I don't drive it hard, but maybe one day. But it's not raspy which I'm very happy with.
