Default MAP sensor help

So my motor came with no MAP sensor They said they would send me one, but I am not counting on it. So my question is will any turbo MAP sensor work? i.e. a GM one? Oh yeah, i am using the stock ecu for now.

Thanks 4 your input

Yes it's a 1JZ, but I just wanted to know if I had to get a Toyota one or not. The GM one is about half the price.

you can also use the one off the 3sgte

you have to get the specs on the gm and stock map sensors. the calibration, ie baseline resistance and necessary input voltage, may or may not be different.

i say if you know someone that has one on their car then test it or better yet find the service manual. it should explain what the pinout is and what the values should be.

then do the same for the gm sensor.

i have a few gm map sensors laying around so i can check if you would like. i have a 1, 2, and 3 bar sensors laying around. i assume you were looking at a 3 bar sensor right?
