A/C gets warmer the longer the drive.
hey guys need some help here so earlier this month my a/c was blowing just cool air so i bought a recharge kit and added one can of the refrigerant, i found that driving in the city stays really cold, but when driving on the highway for about 30 mins the air will progressively get warmer. what causes this? when I recharged, I checked the gauge lowside was sitting at about 35 psi, and for reference airtemp is about 95
thanks.
thanks.

i have a friend of mines that is experiencing the same issues on his mazda millenia. they told him that it might be the expansion valve. when he is sitting on idle the ac blows ice cold. then when he starts to move or drives in the highway, it blows hot

It sounds like the evaporator is freezing up due to moisture being in the system. With R134 it should be warmer when sitting in traffic then once it starts cycling faster it cools. More than likely your AC system has been opened before and not vacuumed and the dryer was not replaced. So get a new dryer and take it to a shop to get them to vacuum the system and recharge it.

Quick fix might work
Our GMC Diesel truck would do the same thing after 45 minutes to an hour. It was the evaporator not functioning and icing up the system. But, my friend said just leave the fan on and turn off the air until the ice melts and it will again blow cold. It worked like a charm and didn't cost a penny. Good luck.
