hmmm....just got off the phone with folks at boostlogic who sales both turbo kits. They said the exhaust manifold between the turbo kit on IS300 (vvti) and sc300 (non vvti) are the same! Only difference is the flange, which has to do with space. What is the truth?!

Ok...Just did a lot of research for us.

Assumption: Exhaust Manifold Gasket (EMG) equates to Exhaust Manifold

Went to RockAuto Parts Catalog and found the following information.

1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 SC300 all have the same part number for EMG.

2003, 2004 IS300 both have same part number for the EMG

Note: I only picked these years for reference points.

Thus, I'm confident the exhaust manifolds are the same between the 2jzge vvti and non vvti types.

thank you.

They are different. VVTt-i exhaust manifolds are tubular. Almost look like aftermarket headers.

The stud pattern is different.

The link shows an exploded view of the top end of the motors

Everyone is going to speculate about whether it's different or the same for both but I know first hand that it's the same. I personally assisted my brother with his turbo swap in which he purchased a turbo kit from a 2JZGE non VVT-I SC 300 and we put it on his VVT-I IS 300 and the exhaust manifold bolted up with no issues and he's been on the road for two years now!

I hope this helps..

His question was between the 2JZGE VVT-i and Non VVt-i but the link that you posted is between the 1JZGTE VVT-i and Non VVT-i???

Non VVT-i and VVt-i GTE motors have the same bolt batterns for exhaust manifolds!

Non VVT-i and VVt-i GE motors have the same bolt patterns for exhaust manifolds!
