Sears makes a set of tools for removing stripped nuts, similar to the ezy-outs for stripped screws. They're like a socket, but with teeth. I've used them with good results...

Soak the nuts with Liquid Wrench, and let it soak for about 30 minutes before you attack them. WD-40 just isn't the same...

WD-40 is a lubricant and sucks at penetrating. PB blaster works wonders, use it next time

PB Blaster + some blow torching later = a nut more loose than a village prostitute.

If its beyond salvageable like how my endlinks were, get a dremel and spend a few hours on it

If there is nothing to grab onto you might as well use a cutting wheel or see if you can drill out the srew from the back side if possible. Pb blaster is the weapon of choice when you have something seized or rusted in place.

I'll third the Sears EZ nut sockets. Just got exhaust nuts off that were 17+years fused on and nothing else would work.
