15PSI -- Stock 1JZ versus 2JZ
What are the expected horsepower numbers one can expect from:
(1) 15 PSI -- everything else stock (twin turbos, injectors, etc.) on 1JZ-GTE; and
(2) 15 PSI -- everything else stock (twin turbos, injectors, etc.) on 2JZ-GTE (JDM Aristo)?
(1) 15 PSI -- everything else stock (twin turbos, injectors, etc.) on 1JZ-GTE; and
(2) 15 PSI -- everything else stock (twin turbos, injectors, etc.) on 2JZ-GTE (JDM Aristo)?

At stock, the jdm makes a pessimistic 280 hp to the crank. At 15 psi I would guess around 340whp. Which is a low guess. Either way I don't think the stock 1j will match it with the same setup for both motors.

I guess Aristo 2JZ-GTE stock with boost turned up to 15 psi is the way to go! At around 340 rwhp, that would be 400 hp at the crank, and that's great for stock with turned up boost and a tune.

I have been running 15 psi for about 2 years now, with my 1jz. And the turbos so far has not failed. Will be upping the boost 1-2psi once I free up my exhaust and add some 272 cams. Delamination of the turbos will happen at some point, but till then. Having fun. But I agree caution should be thrown to the wind. I have a single on stand by but don't want to switch until I need too as opposed to want to. The twin low rpm spool is addictive.

Well, at around 16psi+ untuned, I made 313/320 on my 1jz. (I hit boost cut)
Ar 18 psi, my friend in an MKIV supra made 352/360 on a 2jz. We have similar mods. I'm thinking he would be around my power level, plus or minus 20whp at the same pressure.
He was USDM though.

My my dyno now it at 270, but i have stock dp and exhaust. The SC is currently in shop going with a upgraded exhaust turbo back system. 3". Also will install 440cc injectors with fuel pump. It will be tuned with Apexi NEO, hoping for 320 rwhp. This is my daily driving ride so reliability is a issue. I am considering getting the turbos upgraded to steel. There is a few people on here pushing there twins to 20 psi, but they are very ineffecient and will fail eventually. Kinda want mine to kick the bucket but they have been the most reliable thing on the engine. Everything else needed replacing, waterpump, fan clutch, power steering (fixed). Differential kicked the bucket.

Stock fuel cut it set at 13psi, i ran the crap out of my twins at 15psi, i even did 2 passes at like 17 psi did not have a prob, i dynoed 258 at 15psi at a 10.0 afr (all i had was FCD, Boost controler, intake, and 2 straight trough mufflers with factory resinators) this was with the factory auto and intercooler.

I have a FMIC installed. I still hit boost cut event with a BCC installed and tweaked. Usually it tops out at 16-17 psi, especially on a cool day. I think lowering boost to 14 will help. If I can get 40-50hp more I will very happy. I don't do midnight street racing or tracking my SC. So 500+ hp doesn't interest me. But I do like the look on a 350z, G35 or Mustang when they are trying to beat me to a exit. . My twins start spooling at 2800 rpm and at full boost @ 3300-3500. No matter what there is no single out there that can match it in negligable lag department with everything being relative, the twins were never designed to make power on top end either. Because once they blow I have no choice but to go single but again my goals will be in the 400hp range. I already purchased the manifold kit from driftmotion.com, sitting in the trunk.

13.5lbs, 340whp with all the 'fixins' in my sig....but without any of that stuff, the 1JZ will run between 315-320 at 15lbs.
A point should be made that WITHOUT any BPUs, 15psi shouldn't be attempted, its like riding without wearing your seat belt your whole life and then bam...you have no legs because you flew out of the cockpit.
