Question Help removing 3rd cat

Hey everyone I tried to look at the past threads and didnt find the answer to my question so hopefully someone can help me out. I am about to do a custom exhaust on my sc400 and I was going to remove the center cat and the resonators however I live in California. Was wondering if anyone has done this and passed smog? Or anyones opinions on if you think I will pass smog by still keeping the two cats up front and removing the center cat so I could run an x pipe instead? Give me your opinions. Thanks.
