But, yeah... I guess I'll just be the guy who took over a year to do a transmission swap.

The R154 is quite a bit more expensive, so weigh it like this... do you plan on just having a fun manual sc400, and not making more then 400hp? No go W58,

Do you plan on killing mkivs get a R154, but make sure you rebuild+beef up the R because with out some crucial mods the R is weaker then the W.

Or if your looking for quad digit power figures. you should talk to me about making a V160 kit, or Viper T56 kit.
Hi, just got done reading all 15 pages in this thread, and have a couple questions related to the above info. I have a 2000 LS400 that I hope to someday supercharge, and after reading this thread, possibly convert to a manual. I didn't see anything specific to my vehicle, it sounded early in the thread that later model parts are coming, but no ETA.

1st, is this even possible with my car, or is it too late a model at this time? If it is possible, what tranny would I be looking for? I see 4 listed above, presumably from least to most expensive. Also appears that a R154 may be the most cost effective way to go for my application, but where would I find the info on modding it to better handle the expected abuse? What years/cars would this tranny be out of, to better help locate one? How much would one expect to pay for one in decent mid-milage condition?

As for the clutch pedal assy and associated shifter parts, where would one start looking for these for my model? How much would you guess I would have invested in this project, less labor of course? Thanks for any thoughts or advice, I appreciate it greatly!

yes that will work you will just have to use an 1uz bell housing with the U1 marked at the top.
