Thank guys, as far as tuning I have a safc2 for now and I have to install the mk3 440s. It is the XSPower kit. My first ride couldn't even be enjoyed as the clutch start slipping. So I gotta take it easy till I get my new one. Once the new clutch is in I'll probably hit the dyno. I'd love to see what a turbo 230k 2JZ can make lol.

replace those leaking valve cover gaskets while youre at it.

check the part number on your MAF. some sc300 and gs300 came with the same MAF that is on the LS400. the LS400 MAF is a popular upgrade for the mk3 supra crowd and in general toyota people going for bigger-then-stock MAF.

my 93 sc300 has the same LS400 MAF

the part number to look for is: 22204-42011 FMZ3AYY2

also run the MAF in a blow-through setup. you wont have to worry about recirculating the blow off valve ro compensating the tune. it wont run rich at cruising or between shifts either. extend the MAF harness and put it in the fender or right before the throttle body.

looks good though.

im collecting random parts as we speak as well right now. have the mk3 7mgte injector and resistor box, greddy intercooler, oil cooler, power steering cooler, aem uego, ton of gauges. now i just need to find a CT26 and make a manifold

good luck and keep us updated. need numbers when tuned.

Occasionally it does. Reminds me of my first dsms.

As far as the maf ill have to check those numbers. As far as running it in blow through I'm just going to leave it the way it is. It runs well and the that particular sensor isn't designed to be a blow through setup.

AHH I see, I'm in Western Mass Chicopee (aka Ghettopee). There is a SC that looks just like yours that seems to want to race me no matter what I'm in. Whether is my SC or my brothers Cobra lol, its freaking annoying.

What you are posting is the part number of the MAF electronics (the black piece). The LS400/SC400 housing is what is bigger. So changing to LS400 eletronics does nothing for you, you need to change the actual housing to have the ability to compensate for injectors that are 25% bigger.

Snoman, nice piping, who did it?

the black part is the the actual MAF sensor. simply getting a bigger housing will do nothing. well it will. it will flow more air but it will not be read correctly. you need the proper sensor that has a different range than a bigger housing.

so youre trying to say that people that "upgrade" their MAF sensor are paying the extra money just for the housing. stock sensor/housing is around 40 bucks. ls400 sensor/housing is 100-150. people pay extra 100 bucks for the aluminum housing?

if thats the case i can make bigger housing and sell them to people for 75 all day.
