Default Gas pedal sticking at wot

I was driving home the other day and for the first time in months I decided to go wot. Pushed the pedal to the metal and when I went to shift the gas pedal didnt come back with my foot. Instead it sat at wot for 2-3 seconds until I was able to kick it free.

Went wot a few more times with same result. Doesnt get stuck every time but maybe 50% of the time

Took it easy from there and checked on it when I got home. Everything looked fine accept I now have a cel. It doesnt seem to be catching on the carpet, or anything in the engine bay.

Any ideas??

Weird, have you tried pulling the throttle cable to WOT at the engine to see what the cable is doing? Maybe it is binding up.

Man thats a scary thought to have your gas pedal stick. Seems like something with the cable or throttle as previously mentioned. Hope you fix it soon.

clean your throttle body. it has a lot of crap on it and causes it to stick. 95% of the time thats the problem. best way is to take apart the throttle body and clean it. most of the time simply spraying brake clean in there will cure the problem.
